Corpus Linguistics Research in Malaysia

Realising the contribution that corpus research can make in language description, pedagogy and planning, more and more local linguists, researchers and institutions are developing corpora for research.  And in Malaysia, there has been a significant increase in the use of corpora and corpus-based research in the last decade.  Despite this, the employment of corpora in language pedagogy and planning is still very limited in the local context.
